Job Description:

Contract-to-Hire (6 months) | Monday–Friday (Day Shift)

Position Overview

A well-established and highly respected aviation services organization is seeking an experienced Avionics Troubleshooter to support advanced avionics installations, integrations, and system upgrades across a diverse fleet of aircraft.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled avionics professional who excels at diagnostics, system integration, and mentoring others in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, install, and integrate advanced avionics systems including:
    • Garmin G1000
    • Garmin GTN Series
    • Garmin G600
    • Starlink systems
  • Perform and support RVSM and autopilot installations
  • Conduct efficient system-level troubleshooting and upgrades
  • Perform and troubleshoot 91.411 and 91.413 checks
  • Interpret and create wiring diagrams (AutoCAD experience preferred)
  • Utilize appropriate avionics testing equipment
  • Support Garmin flight deck integrations
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team development
  • Maintain compliance with General Aviation and Business Aviation standards

Aircraft Exposure

The organization services a wide range of aircraft, including:

  • Cessna 172
  • Cessna 414
  • Citation series
  • King Air series
  • Piper aircraft

The company is internationally recognized for its expertise in RVSM installations.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • RVSM installations
    • Autopilot installation and troubleshooting
    • Advanced avionics integration (Garmin flight decks)
  • Strong troubleshooting background in both GA and Business Aviation environments
  • Experience using avionics testing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to train/mentor others
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport (required due to potential travel)
