We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) MV-75, part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bells High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
Bell ODA, Avionics and Electrical Engineering
This position is responsible for ensuring that proposed designs are compliant to the appropriate regulatory requirements coordinating with the FAA and programs/projects, resolution of certification issues, determination of the certification basis, writing certification plans, witnessing certification testing, and finding compliance to applicable regulations.
What you’ll be doing as an Avionics and Electrical Engineer – ODA Unit Member
Complete certification activities as part of the Bell ODA, as a delegated Unit Member. To include, reviewing documents / plans, verifying compliance to FAR rules, and interfacing directly with the FAA and other certification agencies.
Responsible for successful integration and certification of vendor equipment into Bell aircraft.
Assists in preparation of reports, engineering drawings, and other documents.
Coordinates with direct and indirect customers and suppliers to determine system requirements and resolve problems.
Responsible for completing complex development, design, testing and certification assignments for new design and modifications.
Instruct suppliers as to materials, equipment, and hardware for utilization on aircraft in accordance with approved specifications.
Provides guidance to engineers and report writers in the solution of specific, complex design problems, which must be resolved during development testing.
Assures supervision awareness of program status, problems and successes. Provides periodic design reviews and update presentations to management of engineering and other company organizations and tools.
Mentor engineers to develop future ODA Unit Members
Participate in mentoring aimed at developing into an Associate Administrator for the Bell ODA.
