- Experience with the C-17 or other heavy aircraft platforms.
- Experience with aircraft avionics systems (Comm/Nav, Data Links, Weapons, Radar, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience in applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years interpreting schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
- 3+ years working with aircraft computer systems and basic office software.
- Successful completion of training—either OJT or formal classroom instruction—is a contingency of employment.
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C-17 modifications.
- Experience working with COMSEC, Radar, or electronic systems.
- Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and electric-powered elevating equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Climb vertical ladders; work in confined spaces.
- Lift approximately 35 lbs (occasional 2-person lift for 50+ lbs).
- Work on elevated platforms; balance on ladders or uneven surfaces.
- Frequent walking, standing, reaching overhead, and exposure to noise.
- Ability to use PPE for eyes, face, hands, arms, and ears.
- Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
- Work with and dispose of hazardous materials.
- Perform occasional finger manipulation; operate foot controls for extended periods.
- Rotate head/neck; sit, crawl, squat, bend/stoop, and lie down as tasks require.
Schedule Requirements
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
- Overtime may be required (scheduled or unscheduled).
