Job Title: Cable and Harness Technician Level 3Job DescriptionJoin our team as a Cable and Harness Technician Level 3 where you will play a crucial role in fabricating and assembling complex space flight cable and harness assemblies. You will work on 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 12:30am, with training on 1st shift for the initial months. This position involves working in a professional atmosphere with ESD and FOD awareness, utilizing tools such as soldering irons, tweezers, and heat guns.
Responsibilities- Obtain necessary information to perform job assignments and report discrepancies.
- Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams for point-to-point assembly.
- Perform wiring using harness boards and tie-in cables and harnesses.
- Conduct electrical/electronic and mechanical assembly tasks individually or as part of a team.
- Lay out and construct harness boards for electrical/electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Mix and apply bonding components and encapsulate.
- Utilize a broad range of hand tools and assembly equipment for tasks.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Essential Skills- High School Diploma or GED with additional years of education or relevant experience in assembly, electronics manufacturing, production, or logistics.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
- Certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 Cable and Wire Harness Assembly and NASA-J-STD.
- Experience in reading drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Exceptional mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- ESD Electro-Static Discharge and Crimping Experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Graduate from Technical Trade School.
- Current certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 NASA-J-STD or other certifications in electronics assembly and workmanship.
- Experience with MES applications including workflow signoff and documentation.
