Job Summary

Controls Technician is responsible for sustaining tooling controls and electronics on manufacturing equipment in Cirruss Production Facility. The Technician will help install upgrades and replace existing tooling controls. In addition, the Technician will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoot, repair & support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), robotics & electronic circuits used in manufacturing tooling.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical work associated with tooling repair, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Create & integrate solutions to continuously improve processes and prevent recurring issues on existing tooling and parts.
  • Work with a team to implement mechanical, pneumatic and electrical changes to existing tooling and automated systems.
  • Work with a team to implement new tooling and automated systems installation.
  • Support process improvement projects.
  • Support implementation of maintenance work programs to reduce equipment failures and production downtime.

Qualifications

  • AAS in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Controls Technology or equivalent degree OR 3-5 years experience with controls and electronics in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and assess the condition of equipment for mechanical and/or electrical repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to integrate automated controls into a manufacturing facility
  • 3-5 years of experience with controls and electronics
