JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor the Electrical Assembler performs a wide variety of electrical production wire harnesses and wire harness installs of a semi-skilled nature to build up and assemble a varying level of complex units.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Determines methods and sequence of assembly operations to achieve requirements per provided electrical drawings, shop orders, or process specifications
  • Works with electrical components and wiring of various assemblies to build wiring harnesses perform ATP.
  • Utilizes with aviation electrical tools: crimp tool, DMM, wire stripper, etc.
  • Utilizes small hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers to perform some mechanical assembly
  • Able to use precision measurement tools such as but not limited to scales, calipers (digital and dial) and micrometers.
  • Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles, and tests units as required.
  • Reads and comprehends shop orders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus
  • Experience with and ability to interpret engineering drawings with a focus on electrical assembly

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs periodically
  • Good fine motor skills and ability to manipulate small components
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • Experience with BAC process specs for electrical assemblies and installation
  • Experience with the D6-54446 SWPM (standard wire practices manual)
  • Experience with or certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Wire harness and assembly
