Job Title: Electrical Technician & Controls TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician & Controls Technician to join our team in supporting the installation and maintenance of advanced electrical systems. This role involves working with pad instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and a variety of electrical components within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities- Install and terminate wiring to pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
- Perform continuity checks and correct wiring errors using measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators.
- Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data.
- Write, create, and organize work planning documents and instructions.
- Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.
- Lead complex projects with minimal oversight.
- Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable tray.
- Build intricate cable assemblies using Mil-C connectors and contacts.
- Troubleshoot AC power distribution equipment up to 480VAC.
- Fabricate support structures, enclosures, and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment.
Essential Skills- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1+ years of professional experience with instrumentation such as transducers, accelerometers, or thermocouples.
- Familiarity with analog and digital electrical systems.
- Ability to perform PLC maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Associate degree in Aerospace Technology or other technical field (nice to have).
- 2+ years of professional hands-on experience with launch site instrumentation.
- Experience with ISO 9000, IPC-620, and ICP-610 standards.
- Proficient with power and hand tools.
- Experience with NI, Step 7, and Studio 5000.
