Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is now recruiting for an Electronic Assembly Test Technician to join our Assembly Build and Test Production team based at our site in Staverton.

The Role
As an Assembly/Test Technician, you’ll be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting a range of electronic products and final unit instruments. Working within a high-volume production environment, you’ll follow precise documentation, tools, and procedures to deliver reliable results that meet both customer and regulatory expectations.
You’ll ensure compliance with production processes, schedules, and recording standards using business IT systems such as ERP/MRP. Attention to detail will be key as you verify that finished products conform to quality standards and progress smoothly through inspection and release. Safety and quality will be at the heart of everything you do, underpinning a workplace culture built on care and accountability.
About You

You’ll bring experience from a high-volume manufacturing environment and demonstrate the ability to follow technical instructions, including schematic drawings, specifications, and work orders. With excellent dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-to-eye coordination, you’ll be confident in carrying out complex assembly and testing processes to tight deadlines.
You’ll also be numerate, literate, and comfortable performing conversions and calculations related to tolerances and specifications. Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement will be an advantage, as will strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
