About the Role – Field Technician (Remote)
We’re seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team as a full-time remote position. In this role you will be responsible for technical support, troubleshooting, field-service deployments and maintenance of communication systems, camera systems, mapping systems and microwave transmission systems. You’ll work closely with the Technical Team, Project Management Team, and Clients to ensure all technical issues in the aircraft and downlink sites are resolved efficiently and upgrade solutions are delivered with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain and support wireless communications, aerial-surveillance, mapping systems and transmission systems in field environments
- Provide technical troubleshooting and remote support, including hands-on field service, as required
- Collaborate with Project Managers, internal Technical Team members and Clients to understand requirements and deliver customized mission-suite solutions
- Manage remote installations, coordinate logistics, documentation, and ongoing / recurring maintenance activities
- Communicate clearly with Clients and Internal Teams to convey status, challenges, resolutions, suggestions and deliverables
Qualifications
- Field-service experience with avionics communications and surveillance systems, mapping systems, camera systems, radio systems, air-to-ground transmission technologies (cellular, microwave and satellite) and RF troubleshooting is a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated project-management ability
- Ability to work independently, remotely and self-sufficiently
- Degree in Engineering, IT or related field is a plus
- Self-starter mindset with strong initiative
