Job Description:
  • Operating, testing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting of all avionics and electrical systems on the aircraft.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the allocated man-hour budgets and on schedule while maintaining quality standards and performing the tasks within the guidelines of all safety and regulatory regulations and requirements.
  • Interpret and follow complex wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Performs wire-by-wire, power, functional and operational checkouts of electrical and avionics systems prior to aircraft flight.
  • Set up required electrical and electronic test equipment in compliance with technical data and complete the appropriate functional test.
  • Connect air data test set to appropriate aircraft fixtures and complete a full functional checkout of the entire pitot/static air data system.
  • Troubleshoot and correct discrepant systems
  • Perform soldering applications in various positions. Cert. Required.
  • Function test, troubleshoot and repair basic aircraft electrical systems (all models)

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training and experience in the following: AC, DC, Digital, Analog, Pulse, Comm/Nav and Pitot/Static Systems.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the aircraft field.
  • Able to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, charts and schematics.
  • Must have required tools..
  • Able to work on maintenance stands, extending to 25 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to work in confined spaces and in unusual positions.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
  • Able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Understand a vast array of electrical and avionics systems manufactured by various manufacturers and to use a wide assortment of test equipment and tooling
  • Understand electrical and digital theories and be able to interpret various Engineering documentations, diagrams and schematics.
  • Occastional travel required.
