Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will provide electrical installation and maintenance services to a wide variety of research test facilities operating at various voltage levels. This role requires working with detailed electrical schematics and prints, bending electrical conduit, pulling large and small gauge wiring, and installing and modifying electrical panels, raceways, and other electrical components. Future training may be required to achieve a qualified operator status within a test facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical installation and maintenance services to research test facilities.
- Work from detailed electrical schematics and prints.
- Bend electrical conduit and pull large and small gauge wiring.
- Install and modify electrical panels, raceways, enclosures, and motor-driven equipment.
- Perform motor meggering and maintain lighting systems and other electrical devices.

Work Environment
Join the TFOME team at the NASA Glenn Research Center, providing engineering and technical services in aeronautics, space power, and propulsion test facilities. You must be open to working off shifts during testing, which occurs 4 to 6 times a year, with advance notice provided. Shift differentials are offered: 7.5 for the second shift and 10 for the third shift.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.12 - $36.12/hr.
