Job Title: Aircraft Avionics Technician- Direct Hire Opportunity
Job Location: Mesa, Arizona
Pay: $35 to $43 per hour
Position Summary
The Aircraft Avionics Technician will support the Return to Service team by performing avionics installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair activities on A4 aircraft. Technicians will ensure all systems are installed correctly, thoroughly tested, and meet all airworthiness and safety standards prior to flight operations.
This role requires strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced aircraft maintenance environment.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Strong avionics troubleshooting and installation experience preferred
- Military or civilian aircraft avionics experience accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Perform avionics fabrication, disassembly, and reassembly on aircraft systems
- Install test, and troubleshoot aircraft avionics equipment and electrical systems
- Ensure avionics systems are fully operational prior to flight test
- Perform precision soldering on navigation, communication, and control components
- Assemble and install aircraft electrical components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex avionics issues
- Organize and support ground support equipment for aircraft testing
- Perform aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, and inspections
- Ensure all work meets OEM documentation airworthiness standards and company procedures
- Verify all replacement parts are properly inspected, certified, and approved prior to installation
- Properly tag and route removed parts according to procedures
- Complete maintenance documentation and work reports for all performed tasks
- Perform line maintenance and heavy maintenance activities when required
- Follow maintenance control manual procedures and all safety practices
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
