ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Quality Inspector for an aerospace company which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience with electronics components looking to further their career in manufacturing.
- Works from drawings, procedures, and specifications utilizing non-complex measuring devices (where necessary) to perform inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, electronic hardware, and equipment as materials are received from vendors or subcontractors.
- Reviews, evaluates, and provides feedback on procedures and drawings.
- Determines methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for inspection with machines and advanced tools.
- Participates in the creation of inspection plans with the QE and provides input.
- Contributes to the implementation of special setups on equipment.
- Performs audits of products and processes. (may not do this as a temporary employee but is a nice-to-have in terms of experience)
- Inspect critical in-process and/or finished production assemblies and subassemblies for conformance to drawings and quality assurance standards.
- Performs and approves internal FAIs.
- May perform Shipping Inspection duties utilizing internal systems and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet company shipping requirements.
- May issue, and authorize release certificates (8130-3) on behalf of the company in accordance with regulatory requirements. (may not do this as a temporary employee but is a nice-to-have in terms of experience)
- May perform conformity inspections (e.g. 8130-9) on behalf of the company in accordance with regulatory requirements. (may not do this as a temporary employee but is a have in terms of experience)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous final or in-process inspection experience
- Electronics inspection experience
- Ability to troubleshoot down to a component level
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical inspection tools
- Ability to work closely with Quality Engineers
- Understanding of cables
