Location: Dallas, TX (GAC Dallas – Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (04/13/2026 – 10/10/2026)
Pay Rate: $33.81/hr (W2)
Shift Timings: Weekend Days | 05:25 AM – 06:05 PM

Job Description:
The Avionics/Electrical Technician II provides technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing aircraft electrical and avionics systems. The role ensures all work is completed per engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements while minimizing downtime and maintaining schedules. The technician may also support senior technicians and assist in flight testing as needed.

Skills & Education Required:
Must-Have: High School Diploma or GED
A&P (FAA Airframe & Powerplant License)
4 years avionics/electrical experience OR 2 years aviation electronics schooling + 2 years experience and Ability to read, write, and speak English
 
Preferred:

• FCC Certification
• NCATT Certification
• Experience with other aircraft systems (hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and functional testing of avionics/electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft system discrepancies
• Repair/replace wiring using splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Operate and maintain test equipment
• Perform engineering changes and modifications
• Ensure proper documentation for inspections and compliance
• Follow safety standards (FOD, Tool Control, 5S)
• Support aircraft certification and flight testing when required
• Adapt to changing schedules and production needs
