Travel: Up to 25%

Program: Manufacturing & Completions – Completions Program

Position Purpose

Under minimal supervision, the Avionics Technician/Installer assists with the removal, installation, modification, and testing of avionics and electrical systems. This role supports aircraft completions by performing wiring, harness fabrication, terminations, and functional testing in compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the installation, modification, and fabrication of avionics wiring and electrical components in accordance with blueprints, engineering drawings, worksheets, and schematics.
  • Fabricate wire harnesses and perform terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics/electrical systems.
  • Ensure all work meets FAA regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established timeframes.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection.
  • Comply with company FOD, tool control, 5S, and all safety programs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Additional Functions

  • Properly care for and maintain shop tools and equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, YIAW).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications (Required – Non-Negotiable)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One of the following:
    • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics, or
    • Two (2) years of related avionics/electrical work experience, or
    • Avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one (1) year of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must meet visa and FAA job requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience supporting aircraft manufacturing, modification, or completions environments.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and general software proficiency.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts and in a production hangar environment.
