Job Description:

The aeronautical structure assembler is responsible for assembling and mounting aircraft structures in accordance with plans and technical specifications. This role requires a high level of precision, a deep understanding of materials and assembly techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure the quality and safety of the assembled structures.

Responsibilities:
Assembly and mounting:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to assemble aircraft structures.
  • Assemble and secure structural components using hand tools, machinery, and assembly equipment.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specified tolerances.
  • Make adjustments and modifications to correct defects or non-conformities.

Safety Compliance:

  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Identify and report potential safety risks and contribute to improving safety practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes.
  • Participate in production meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new techniques and best practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used.
  • Provide regular reports on work progress and any issues encountered.
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Diploma or certification in aerospace manufacturing, structural assembly, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience in aeronautical structure assembly or a similar environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace materials (metals, composites) and assembly techniques (rivets, bolts, adhesives).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Skilled in safely and efficiently using hand tools and machinery.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
