A long-term helicopter modernization program is seeking experienced Avionics Technicians to support avionics upgrades, installations, and phase maintenance on UH-60 aircraft. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering consistent day-shift scheduling and long-term project stability.

Position Overview

This role involves installing and modifying avionics systems, performing wiring and routing tasks, supporting phase maintenance, and troubleshooting avionics components on UH-60 platforms. Ideal for technicians with strong avionics installation experience who want long-term work in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform avionics installations, upgrades, and modifications on UH-60 aircraft
• Support glass cockpit, autopilot, and advanced avionics integration projects
• Conduct phase maintenance inspections and related functions
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair avionics systems and components
• Install, route, terminate, and test wiring in accordance with schematics and technical data
• Ensure all work meets program requirements and industry standards
• Maintain accuracy in documentation and follow all wiring specifications
• Work collaboratively with other technicians to meet production timelines

• Minimum four years of avionics experience in aircraft maintenance
• Direct experience with avionics installations and modifications
• Strong troubleshooting skills across avionics systems
• Proficiency in wiring, routing, termination, and testing
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality requirements
• Must supply personal tools appropriate for avionics work or obtain them promptly

Preferred Background

• Previous UH-60 or rotary-wing avionics experience
• Experience completing phase maintenance support
• Familiarity with military or defense-related aviation projects
