Role Summary
* In this role, you will be supporting V-22 aircraft maintenance and modification operations at a military installation in California while working as part of an MV-22 modification and maintenance team. You will perform hands-on aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification work, contributing to the serviceability, compliance, and operational readiness of aerospace products in support of customer and contractual requirements. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A high school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience with V-22 aircraft maintenance and modification.
* Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environmental processes, including FOD control, tool control, and health and safety practices.
* Skill and experience in either electrical and avionics systems or airframe systems subject areas.
* The ability to travel up to 30 based on operational needs.
* The willingness and ability to travel on short notice to domestic military bases, including locations within the continental United States and Hawaii.
* Must be a US Citizen. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* An FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
* Quality assurance experience in an aerospace or aviation environment.
* Extensive depot-level modification experience. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Independently assemble, disassemble, and repair aerospace assemblies by changing, removing, and replacing components using approved maintenance practices and specifications.
* Remove and replace components for repair, replacement, or testing to support product serviceability.
* Resolve and correct routine problems encountered during operation, maintenance, and overhaul activities.
* Coordinate assembly, disassembly, and overhaul functions to ensure accuracy, adequacy, and completeness of work performed.
* Perform routine and complex functional and diagnostic testing using monitoring instruments and bench or automated test equipment to identify root causes of failures.
* Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components to ensure serviceability.
* Isolate and correct routine mechanical or electrical faults using established fault isolation procedures with limited assistance.
* Communicate repair findings and results to engineering and customers when required.
* Independently document repairs, test results, modifications, and inspection results in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
* Verify and follow detailed instructions and procedures to modify, repair, and test assemblies and assist engineering in resolving discrepancies.
* Identify, document, and assist in resolving discrepancies found with parts and components.
* Visually inspect components prior to installation to verify cleanliness and serviceability.
* Independently perform product modifications and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all modification work.
