Job Description:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Ground Support Equipment (GSE) III to support the design, integration, and execution of mechanical systems used in aerospace assembly and test operations. In this role, you will lead and support mechanical integration activities by defining build sequences, resolving technical blockers, and producing engineering artifacts such as 3D models, drawings, specifications, and work instructions. You will design, modify, and maintain mechanical ground support equipment and tooling—including fixtures, handling devices, alignment tools, and test hardware—to enable safe, efficient, and repeatable operations across manufacturing and test environments.

This position requires a hands on engineer who is comfortable working directly on the production floor with technicians to resolve fit, alignment, access, and nonconformance issues in real time. You will collaborate closely with systems engineering, manufacturing, quality, test, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are producible, maintainable, and compliant with engineering intent. Strong mechanical design skills, experience with aerospace hardware and materials, and the ability to support rapid development programs with evolving requirements are critical. Experience with GSE or tooling design, complex electromechanical systems, advanced materials, or structural analysis is highly valued.

Compensation: $70.00/hr.
