Serve as GE Aerospace’s on-site technical focal at AEDC, leading day-to-day coordination, communication, and execution with AEDC and GE personnel.
Plan and lead engine and rig test campaigns, including engine-to-facility integration, enabling hardware, infrastructure needs, and overall test readiness.
Own test cell readiness and operations, including configuration control, tooling, consumables, workspace stewardship, and coordination of on-site mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation activities.
Translate product requirements into clear test plans, coordinating across Product Validation, Systems Engineering, Evaluation Engineering, and AEDC teams to align scope and actions.
Maintain proactive communication with AEDC and internal GE teams on priorities, schedules, risks, constraints, and execution status to keep all stakeholders aligned.
Build and sustain strong working relationships with AEDC leadership, engineers, operators, and security personnel to enable safe, efficient, and compliant test execution.
Ensure full compliance with GE engineering, quality, EHS, security, and regulatory requirements, including defense program security controls for facility, personnel, and data handling.
Manage and maintain development test assets and hardware, including configuration status, inspections, preventative maintenance, and associated documentation.
Analyze, validate, and communicate test data and results to internal stakeholders and external customers, influencing test decisions and future infrastructure planning.
Drive continuous improvement in test execution, including supporting reviews and tollgates, resolving technical and operational issues, capturing lessons learned, and mentoring on-site GE engineers and technicians.
Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Design/Test Engineering).
At least 8 additional years of experience in an Engineering position
Willingness to travel off base up to 25 for trainings, planning, and test support demand
Active or ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher.
Active or ability to obtain “Advanced Programs” access.
Due to security requirements, this position must be able to work a full-time in the office schedule as required by the test campaign.
This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance.
