ATM/UTM Engineer (f/m)

Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an ATM/UTM Engineer (f/m) to join our Upstream Ground Segment of Space Systems Engineering organization based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of the “ATM/UTM products and export” team pole as ATM Product Engineer and will evolve within an Agile team.

You will deeply contribute to our traffic simulation & deconfliction products industrialization which have been developed in the frame of European SESAR research projects.

Your challenges:

• Capture and challenge the functional needs and produce the requirement and technical baselines,
• Be the customer&39;s point of contact to clarify technical requirements and develop appropriate products,
• Participate to initial cost estimation, participate to the update of initial quotation and planning,
• Act as the technical representative concerning the development of designed products, promote the reuse of existing products/bricks,
• Lead technical studies (spikes) to “de-risk” technology for future product developments,
• Ensure technical solution in place for integration, validation and verification,
• Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance on existing products,
• Manage, maintain development and validation platforms,
• Support the business development team towards their external customer,
• Help draft technical offers in your area of expertise,
• Provide technical training and organise/lead workshops with customers,
• Deliver solutions on customers’ premises from a technical point of view.

Your profile:

• Technical knowledge in the ATM domain (C&43;&43;, Linux, Qt, Bash...),
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in an ATM engineering context,
• Business knowledge in the ATM domain is a plus,
• Experience in design and development activities,
• Experience in Integration, Validation and Verification (IVV) activities is a plus,
• Experience in Customer facing activities,
• Good experience in Systems and Software Engineering,
• Knowledge and experience with Agile,
• Knowledge and experience with CMMI are a plus,
• Natural networker and leader with an ability to influence in a hierarchical and non-hierarchical relationship,
• Team player, excellent interpersonal skills within multicultural teams,
• Proactive obstacle remover who can identify what actions to undertake to lead the change in a wide and complex organisation
• Accurate, rigorous and mission oriented,
• Fluent in French and English; other languages would be a plus.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities. This position could require you to travel worldwide to customer’s premises for Software delivery.
