Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $59.13-$64.13/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Define, design, verify, and document ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) and/or FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) solutions.
Lead system architecture, module interface definition, and detailed RTL design and simulation.
Evaluate complete design flows, including synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and power estimation.
Develop and execute test and simulation plans to validate functional criteria.
Analyze test results and system performance, ensuring design goals are met.
Participate in process improvements across the ASIC/FPGA development lifecycle.
Review and assess vendor capabilities, foundry technologies, device libraries, and EDA tools.
Utilize appropriate standards, tools, and procedures to generate compliant technical deliverables.
Analyze customer design requirements and technical documentation for feasibility assessments.
Select components based on design specifications and reliability analysis.
May provide technical leadership or mentoring to junior engineers.
Execute tasks independently, contributing to major projects and milestones.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field + 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree + 3 years of experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire.
Strong expertise in ASIC/FPGA architecture, design, and verification.
Proficient in design tools such as Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim, Synplify, or equivalent.
Experience with RTL coding (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) and simulation/debugging tools.
Familiarity with complete ASIC/FPGA development flows: synthesis, timing closure, place-and-route.
Understanding of EDA tools, device libraries, and foundry technology constraints.
Skilled in using Microsoft Office for technical documentation and reporting.
On-site work or limited travel may be required based on program needs.
