Contract Position
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Define, design, and verify ASIC/FPGA architectures including system simulation, module interfaces, and detailed device design
Evaluate process flows such as synthesis, place and route, timing, and power utilization
Develop test and simulation plans and analyze performance against functional criteria
Support ASIC/FPGA development lifecycle through standards, processes, procedures, and tools
Conduct feasibility studies by analyzing customer specifications, design proposals, and technical manuals
Select components and equipment based on performance, reliability, and specifications
Participate in process improvements to enhance ASIC/FPGA organizational standards and workflows
Review vendor capabilities, foundry technologies, and design libraries/tools for suitability
Provide technical leadership and direction to lower-level engineers when required
Plan and execute project tasks and contribute to completion of major programs and deliverables
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of experience
Active Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire
Proficiency in ASIC/FPGA design tools, methodologies, and verification processes
Strong knowledge of architecture definition, synthesis, timing analysis, and power utilization
Familiarity with test development, simulation planning, and verification analysis
Experience coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams and supporting project deliverables
