Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $47.81-$52.81/Hour

Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and configure test racks, including installation of servers, switches, KVMs, and cabling for both internal and external lab connections.
Build servers with COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) and GOTS (Government Off-The-Shelf) software; configure and manage network switches.
Track and control movement of government and company-owned equipment and assets.
Assist in lab planning, including layout, power, and cooling requirements; coordinate with facilities teams to meet infrastructure needs.
Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and support lab hardware procurement, including lead time tracking.
Support engineers by troubleshooting hardware issues, managing RMA/repair processes with suppliers and vendors.
Perform formal and informal testing to validate system requirements.
Install and check out Information Assurance (IA) software; support testing and troubleshooting at remote sites.
Analyze requirements to develop effective test methods and validation strategies.
Create and maintain test documentation, including plans, procedures, and reports.
Communicate program status and risks to management as needed.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field– or equivalent (4 years job-related experience)
5+ years of related experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
Submarine Combat Control Weapon System experience (minimum 5 years) strongly preferred
Ability to assemble and test computer systems, including rackmount configurations
Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP, encryption)
Familiarity with Linux command-line
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
May require travel to other test site locations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cybersecurity tools or certification (e.g., Security+)
Ability to read and understand C, C++, or Java code (not required but beneficial)
Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Background in cybersecurity through degree or professional experience
Experience creating test documentation for formal validation processes
