Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $62.36-$67.36/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Apply Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Information Theory to develop DSP algorithms.
Perform statistical analysis of signal parameters for space systems.
Develop and model algorithms using MATLAB, including signal processing toolboxes.
Support RF signal mitigation and radar signal processing efforts.
Contribute to modeling, simulation, and Monte Carlo analysis.
Engage in phased array and beamforming algorithm development.
Collaborate on SmallSat/CubeSat systems development and hardware integration efforts (e.g., FlatSat, HWIL testing).
Contribute to Agile development of hardware, software, and firmware systems.
Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw with SysML for system design and requirements tracing.
Support space payload design, development, and integration/test (I&T) activities.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field(Master’s + 3 years or Bachelor’s + 5 years of relevant experience)
Experience with digital signal processing algorithm development
Working knowledge of MATLAB for DSP applications
Familiarity with Radar Processing and RF system effects
Experience supporting system design in space or defense environments
Agile development experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Python for DSP or systems automation
SmallSat/CubeSat system experience
Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and FlatSat prototyping/integration
Digital Engineering/MBSE, SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw
Phased Array and Beamforming algorithm understanding
CI/CD, DevOps in embedded or DSP-heavy environments
