Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $52.62-$66.26/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute system testing by defining technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets, and equipment needs
Develop test cases, procedures, and scripts (Python, Bash, C) and produce test documentation (plans, reports) for verification activities
Design and build test setups, fixtures, and infrastructures to support development and formal testing
Support acquisition, setup, and checkout of test assets including BOM creation, material planning, procurement, and coordination with manufacturing/operations teams
Conduct formal test events such as Design Verification Testing (DVT), Qualification Testing (QT), Acceptance Testing (AT), EMI/EMC Testing, and Radiation Testing
Perform requirements, functional, and performance analysis to validate test setups and ensure compliance (e.g., timing, power, integration)
Utilize version control tools (Git/GitLab) to support test infrastructure development and configuration management
Collaborate with Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) teams and interface with project leaders to provide technical input and status updates
Work under the guidance of SEIT leads, solving medium-complexity problems with peer review
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field plus a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus 3 years experience
Proficiency with object-oriented programming, scripting languages (Python, Bash, C), and system processes
Experience developing and executing test procedures and infrastructure for complex systems
Knowledge of formal testing methods (DVT, QT, AT, EMI/EMC, Radiation Testing)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting optimization
Familiarity with Git/GitLab for version control and collaboration
Ability to work effectively across engineering and manufacturing groups
