A GE Aerospace Field Service Engineer (FSE) serves as the primary point of contact for all customer technical matters in support of their commercial aviation engines. The support team operates 24/7, providing technical advice and assistance to customers on the operation, maintenance, repair, logistics support, and installation of jet engines. In this role, the FSE will provide on-site interpretation of OEM data and technical instructions and communicate with internal teams on the status of engine programs, events, and trends.The FSE’s mission is to prevent the next operational event and keep their customer’s fleet operating reliably by addressing operational issues as they arise and managing the technical program plan for each supported engine model. This is achieved by providing OEM recommendations to customers, forecasting for optimal engine time on wing and assisting in the planning and incorporation of upgrades via Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins. Role Overview:
Located at the customers to support the customer: A GE Aerospace Field Service Engineer (FSE) is primarily based as the customer location, supporting them with on-site technical troubleshooting and fleet management problem solving.
Provide Leadership and Technical Support: Offer technical direction and assistance to the customers operation, inspections, maintenance, and repair of assigned fleets.
Customer Advocacy: Deliver prompt, effective solutions that address customer issues and exceed their expectations, driving loyalty and long-term partnerships.
Monitor and Improve Reliability: Track reliability and on-wing performance, including significant events, engine removals, delays, and cancellations. Influence airline stakeholders to implement critical reliability improvements.
Enhance Maintenance Planning: Influence maintenance planning to ensure the stability of the aircraft engine fleet.
Evaluate Maintenance Effectiveness: Review the effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify opportunities for improvement.
Apply FLIGHT DECK: Utilise our FLIGHT DECK principles to deliver continuous improvement, identifying proactive reliability enhancements.
Data Analytics and Reporting: Produce data analytics and timely reports on fleet status, program updates, events, and trends for key internal stakeholders.
Proactive Maintenance Recommendations: Provide recommendations for proactive maintenance based on engine performance analytics.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor of Engineering or technical degree from an accredited university or college (or work experience in relevant fields)
Experience working in airline operations or maintenance planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or another related field.
Technical expertise in aircraft engine or turbomachinery equipment.
Experience using software or data analytics to make informed technical decisions and to provide recommendations to the customer or other key internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, shop operations and testing of jet engines
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven analytical and quality improvement ability
Ability to make formal presentations to all audiences
Ability to work with all levels of maintenance, engineering, and management
Project management and Lean and/or 6 Sigma experience
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence customer and peers
Fluent in English – proficiency in local language an advantage
