Advanced System Engineer - Electronic Test, ACE Shanghai

As an integral part of Honeywell Aerospace’s global Engineering and Technology (E&T) team, we, Aero China Engineering team, provide world-class engineering and R&D capabilities to support Honeywell Aerospace growth including working with leading organizations like COMAC, AVIC, AECC, CETC and CAAC to support the rapid growth of the Chinese commercial aerospace industry. We also support key global programs for Airbus, Dassault, Pilatus, Embraer and Gulfstream.

This position will be in Shanghai, China. This is the role in Electronic Test, Platform and SGN (Sensing, Guidance, Navigation) team.
Responsibilities
Responsibility:
- Conducts comprehensive system-level analysis across all phases of test solution development (concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, disposal). Translates customer/product requirements into integrated test systems through rigorous technical, schedule, and cost constraint analysis.
- Develops avionics end-item test (EIT) solutions including hardware/software design, validation & verification (V&V), and on-site implementation support for avionic products (ACE - Actuator Control Equipment, FCM – Flight Control Module, CNS – Communication Navigation Surveillance module, INS – Inertial Navigation System and other navigation related products)
- Provides technical support for APAC/US factory operations including EIT, HASS testing, ATE systems, and factory-specific development/process requirements.
- Designs and implement simulation-based test solution systems with focus on software architecture and system integration.
- Executes technical planning, system integration, verification, cost/risk analysis, and supportability/effectiveness evaluation for complete test systems.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline modeling, trade studies, requirement allocation, and interface definition to convert customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.
- Supports avionics laboratory operations including equipment calibration, test environment maintenance, and protocol standardization.
- Must be willing to accept frequent domestic and international travel.
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control Engineering, or a related field

Primary Qualifications:
- Experienced in software development on C/C++, Labwindows/CVI, TestStand, Labview, python.
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Electrical and Electronics knowledge (Analog & Digital, ability to read & understand schematics, wire lists).
- Experienced in software design and verification or related.
- Experienced in integrated computer network system integration and have test bench design and operation knowledge.
- Experienced in measurement instruments, proficient in using DMM, Scope, Switches and so on. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills both in Mandarin and English
- Aviation product design or testing experience is highly preferred
- Experienced in communication protocols (ARINC429, CAN, RS232 and RS485), Analog I/O, Discrete I/O and power solution, etc.
- Experienced in Matlab development for control system is a plus.
- Software knowledge on embedded system development.
- Hardware knowledge on Industry PC, PXI and LXI equipment is preferred.
- Good customer interface skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical personnel are preferred
- Experience working with international team and can take oversea short-term on-site work
