Position Description:
Focused on providing customer solutions in a fast-paced environment, thisposition performs the functional and system level test verification function ofHoneywells customized integrated voice solutions and mobility software. Thecandidate will be responsible for the development and execution of detailedtests. The candidate may also be required to define and/or develop testsoftware and scripts to automate these tests. The position requires thecandidate to interface cross-functionally with other departments. The positionrequires effective communication skills (especially written) and good problem-solvingskills. The position requires the candidate to be results oriented with theresolve for a high degree of quality. Some travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop & execute tests to ensure product verification & specification compliance.
- Perform functional, integration, and system level testing to simulate customer use of Honeywell integrated voice solution and mobility software solutions.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts.
- Review specification documents, change requests or statements of work to prepare test documentation and work effort estimates.
- Participate in documentation & requirement reviews for completeness & accuracy.
- Timely completion of verification efforts within defined schedule.
- Generate defect reports when test specification is not achieved.
- Provide engineering support to internal and external customers.
- Effectively communicate issues cross-functionally and with project management.
- Participate in the improvement of overall EVT processes.
- Coordinate test lab activities, equipment, and tools.
YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience in background softwaretesting
- 5+ years experience installing andtroubleshooting complex custom solutions
- 2+ years experience leading test engineers withinproject
WE VALUE- Masters Degree in a technical discipline
- Additionalclassroom or professional development considered a plus.
Expertise in one or more of the followingtechnical areas (the more, the better):
- Use of Performance and/or functional test tools.
- Experience with Android, Linux, or iOS mobile platform testing a plus. Exposure to Xamarin based applications helpful.
- Development and/or test tools (static or dynamic) preferred.
- Database driven client-server systems and database design (including SQL).
- Experience testing in a cloud environment.
- Experience with test automation tools (AppiumSelenium) and scripting programming languages (JavaScript and Python).
- Implementing software engineering methodologies or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with voice solution products or related technologies are a plus.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, RF (wireless) & LAN networking protocols is preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development processes.
- Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development techniques.
