In order to support our Team in Taufkirchen/ Ottobrunn, a vacancy for an Aeronautic Qualification Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen at Aerostack GmbH.


The jobholder reports operationally and functionally to the Head of Homologation. You join the Aerostack Verification & Validation team, dedicated to secure the flight worthiness of the Aerostack fuel cell stacks.


Main Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Build and develop strong relations with Airbus safety and airworthiness team as well as certification authorities to create a certification baseline for fuel cell technology

  • Define in line with Airbus the Means-of-Compliances for qualification related requirements 

  • Leading the qualification related activities for safety of flight and serial applications and ensuring the implementation of the Means of Compliance within the overall V&V activities

  • Facilitate the Statement of Conformity in cooperation with Airbus

  • Ensure compliance to the airworthiness regulations and Airbus qualification requirements (DO160, ASR, ABD0100,..) in close exchange with the responsible Airbus system design engineer

  • Ensure breakdown of regulations in requirements at stack level.

  • Define the Means of Validation & Verification based on the qualification requirements defined from Airbus

  • Check validity of compliance statements and demonstrations

  • Ensure compliance of the used tools & processes 

  • Ensure Documentation and Archiving


Required Skills:

  • Master degree in aeronautical, mechanical or electrical engineering or similar domain

  • More than 3 years experience within System Design & Development in accordance with qualification requirements

  • More than 3 years experience in the V&V, qualification and certification activities

  • Familiar with the process & tools for requirements management (e.g. DOORS) 

  • Fluent English language skills, German & French are a benefit

  • Result oriented mindset and ambition for simplicity 

  • Capability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
