Job Description:

•tTo define, implement and support appropriate production methods, for the Assembly of complex landing gear components. Document manufacturing and sub assembly plans or layouts; produce detailed operation work instructions with drawings and other associated documentation for each operation.
•tImprove Assembly manufacturing processes and methods to meet cost reduction and quality improvement targets.
•tLead problem solving and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives using various techniques such as Ishikawa, 5 Whys, etc.
•tWork with Design team to evaluate the manufacturability and assembly of the design of products and provide recommendations for DFMA.
•tProvide day to day manufacturing support for all components manufactured in the machine shop.
•tManage Industrialization Projects of new product introduction from Pilot batches to Full production Ramp up.
•tProvide detailed rework instructions for Assembly not meeting production quality requirements.
•tUpdate shop work orders as required to facilitate additional rework operations.
•tTo provide appropriate tooling design guidelines, select and design/purchase appropriate Fixtures and tooling.
•tTo research and implement new products and technologies to the Assembly environment to improve manufacturing methods and processes.
•tTo liaise between Engineering, Estimating, Finance, Manufacturing and Quality.
•tPerform PFMEA on new Assembly and critical Assembly processes.
•tMonitor and Implement engineering changes in a timely manner to production.
Job Requirements:

Technical Competencies:
•\tMinimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
•\tDegree or Diploma in Manufacturing/ Mechanical / Industrial Engineering from a recognized college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•\tExperience creating 2D and 3D CAD data (CATIA V5 Preferred).
•\tExperience in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
•\tFamiliarity with aerospace components, hydraulics, aerospace electronics, manufacturing processes and quality control.
•\tExcellent understanding of manufacturing / Assembly principles, process planning, materials and Tool design.
•\tMust have good knowledge on GD & T.
•\tStrong Focus on Process Improvement.
•\tProject Management Skills

Salary: $78,100 to $97,600
