Role Summary
* In this role, you will develop and maintain 3D models for wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical system installations on aircraft. You will ensure system integration integrity, optimize layouts, and coordinate with design teams and certification authorities while adhering to established processes and standards. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
* Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in aerospace system/sub-system development and integration.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Must have experience in developing, integrating, and testing Systems/Sub-systems on an aircraft. Job Duties/Functions
* Will perform 3D modeling of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical equipment installations, electrical bonding, and electrical supports.
* Will apply knowledge of integrated wiring systems and wiring integration assembly using 3DX.
* Will ensure comprehensive electrical installation design and adhere to established processes and procedures, while also developing new processes as needed.
* Will apply general knowledge of avionics and electrical system installations, and integrate designs to CHS Architecture, including interpreting wire diagrams and schematics.
* Will maintain the technical configuration integrity of aircraft system installations, including conveyance system routing paths, structural penetrations, and pass-throughs.
* Will produce and refine 3D layouts to optimize build and sourcing strategies.
* Will establish and enforce system installation requirements such as minimum line clearance and system separation.
* Will ensure compliance with DMU and 3D modeling standards.
* Will develop, test, and document new procedures for relational design and model-based definition techniques in 3DX.
* Will oversee the preparation, initial release, and revision of 3D installation datasets.
* Will coordinate system-specific installation requirements and dataset approvals with Design IPTs and Certification Authorities.
* Will track and report progress to the AIT Leader.
