JOB SUMMARY:

The Airworthiness Engineer ensures that aircraft are fit to fly and comply with all the relevant aviation regulations. Airworthiness Engineer is in charge of supporting the airworthiness/delivery activities of the Quality Control Department for all aircraft completed in Little Rock (N & F-WW).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Prepares necessary aircraft related FAA, EASA, Company, and Customer Documents
  • Performs inspection of aircraft to determine airworthiness, safety, or conformance to approved data, and/or regulations (foreign and domestic)
  • Prepares aircraft Inspection Handbook and associated Logbooks and Reports
  • Familiar with Production Organization Approval processes
  • Perform Documentation review of the airworthiness documents with the customer and/or airworthiness authority
  • Coordinate directly with Local and Foreign Authorities as required to ensure that Flight Permits, Special Flight Authorizations, Import/Export Certificate of Airworthiness, and other Regulatory Documents are accurately and timely executed
  • Work closely with CCA and other departments of the Company to ensure that certification and delivery activities are organized (for the QC inputs/outputs)
  • Manage and control the Company Procedural Documentation (Manuals, Procedures, Written Instructions, DGQT, etc…) that are directly job related to ensure that the documents are revised as required and are done so in a timely manner
  • Mentor and coach other QC Office personnel in regards to the inputs/outputs, Manuals, Procedures, and DGQT guidance documentation used in this position as well as train new members of the team
Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering, Physics. May substitute one (1) year of relevant education from an accredited college or university for two (2) years of relevant work experience
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced with FAR Part 145 Repair Station, FAR Part 43 Maintenance Regulations and Production Organization Approval (POA) Structure EASA Part 21
  • Must be able to use, read, and understand Dassault Modifications, VPM, Blueprints and Test Procedures
  • Possess verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports
  • Enhanced working knowledge of computers and computer applications
  • Must possess well developed communication skills, critical thinking, logic and analytical skills
  • Be proactive and team oriented
  • Be able to obtain a Passport for International Travel
