Position summary:
The AssociateEngineer with CAD experience is an entry-level engineering position wherethe primary responsibility is to create detailed 2D and 3D designs usingcomputer-aided design (CAD) software, working closely with senior engineers tosupport project development while applying engineering principles to translateconceptual designs into production-ready drawings, requiring a strongunderstanding of CAD functionalities and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:
CAD Modeling and Drafting:
Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawingsusing specified CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) based onproject requirements and design specifications.
Design Support:
Assist senior engineers in the design processby creating preliminary sketches, developing design variations, and modifyingexisting designs as needed.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive technical drawings,including annotations, dimensions, and material specifications, ensuringaccuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
Collaboration:
Work effectively with cross-functional teamsincluding engineers, designers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure designfeasibility and alignment with project goals.
Required Skills andQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, MechEng or Aero degree, or a related field.
Proficiency in relevant CAD software (e.g.,AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MasterCAM)
Understanding engineering principles anddesign methodologies.
Attention to detail and ability to maintainhigh accuracy in technical drawings.
Good communication and teamwork skills tocollaborate effectively with colleagues.
