Boeing Poland is seeking an Associate Structural Analysis Engineer - to join the Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) team located in Warsaw, Poland.
The successful candidate will be acting as technical team Focal, in parallel performing simulation & structural analysis work, co-developing Scope of Work, supporting BDS technical leadership. The person in this role will be responsible for Structural Analysis technical deliverables, representing and supporting the team during technical reviews, acting as internal checker and approver of technical deliverables.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports BDS technical leadership in development of Statement of Work (SoW), technical mentoring, project planning, execution and monitoring
Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements, working under general supervision
Export Control Requirements: This is an export control position. Meaning:
1) Position may be export controlled
2) Government authorisation may be required
3) Employment contingent upon meeting trade control requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as aircraft structure, materials and properties, design criteria, release processes, aircraft structural analysis
2+ years of experience performing stress analysis (static and fatigue) using hand calculations and finite element tools
Experience in engineering and product qualification testing (static, fatigue, vibration, windmilling, life cycling). Understanding of test plans and test procedures creation
Experience in presenting to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
Experience in working within a cross-functional interpersonal environment
Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking
Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience using NASTRAN/PATRAN and/or Hyperworks finite element modeling software
Experience in metallic structures static analysis (composite is a plus)
Knowledge in damage tolerance analysis and inspection methods
Experience working with airplane certification projects involving FAA approval
Significant Boeing experience
Additional Requirement:
The individual will be required to obtain clearance for work under military concession (regulated by act of 13 June 2019 on conducting business activities in the field of manufacturing and trading in explosives, weapons, ammunition and products and technology for military or police purposes).
