Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Associate-Level Manufacturing Engineer to become part of the Executive Transportation Planning team in San Antonio, TX.

Our organizational members assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies. The selected candidate will lead and support in development, implementation and maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. Assists in the identification of tooling requirements and processing tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. Assists in investigation and resolution of manufacturing related issues. Collects data to support producibility assessments for part or product designs. Assists in developing work statements and sequencing of limited scope with internal business partners. Assists in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents. Works under close supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support technical reviews addressing non-conformances, including chronic and significant repairs. 
  • Support Root cause corrective actions. 
  • Contribute to the development of producible (design and build) solutions aimed at reducing costs, improving quality and keeping schedule commitments.
  • Provide feedback and oversight of daily build plan and tie into integrated schedule.
  • Participate in status meetings and technical reviews, support daily and monthly status report development and submittals.
  • Lead training on build processes to operations personnel.
  • Support workshops on improved planning tools implementation.
  • Support data gathering and performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
  • Develop and maintain presentation material for leadership reviews.
  • Create schedules with timelines for key milestones and visibility on important items.
  • Implement process improvements and organize logistics of events (e.g., workshops, etc.).
  • Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations (e.g., Export compliance, intellectual property, etc.) and program management best practices (PMBP) to ensure progress toward deliverables.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs and deadlines.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

The position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (San Antonio, TX).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Chemistry.
  • 1+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • 1+ years’ experience applying professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
  • 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing support.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $75,650 - $102,350
