BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 2+ years of experience in the design and commissioning of controls systems for industrial applications
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Process integration and electromechanical/mechatronic systems experience
- Electrical schematic CAD experience using EPlan
- C#, .NET, python and/or SQL experience
- PLC programming experience, preferably Beckhoff TwinCAT or Siemens TIA Portal
- HMI and SCADA programming experience, preferably Ignition or Beckhoff TwinCAT HMI
- Robot programming experience, preferably ABB
- Field bus networks, serial communication and Ethernet communication
- Hands-on experience building and commissioning high quality electrical control panels and electro-mechanical systems
- Knowledge of NEC, UL508A codes
- Experience with 3D CAD, preferably Siemens NX
- Exposure to a wide variety of industrial machinery
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience in fast-paced iterative design and test environments
- Experience solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX sites and/or vendors for significant/extended periods of time (up to 100% during system activation)
- Ability to lift up to 25Ibs unassisted
- Standing/walking for long periods of time
- Must be willing to work long hours and weekends as necessary to accommodate manufacturing and test campaigns
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Automation & Controls Engineer/Level I: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00/per year
Automation & Controls Engineer/Level II: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
