Statement of Work
This statement of work is in support of a Leonardo’s MAPPS development programme.
MAPPS is an Integrated Defensive Aids System (IDAS) product family offering EW protection for platforms operating in challenging, congested and contested threat environments. The detection and defeat capability against RF, IR Missile and Laser-guided threats is fully autonomous and programmable and is co-ordinated by the MAPPS Controller.

The MAPPS Controller Software is the next generation of software architecture upon which both Leonardo’s legacy and future IDAS solutions will be based on.
A contractor is required to work on a fix cycle an existing software baseline with changes delivered and integrated into the clients overall MAPPS Controller solution. The contractor will work autonomously to resolve bugs and issues, bounded by the duration, deliverables, and milestones identified in this Statement of Work.

Key Skillset
• Developing and updating Modern C++ software in a real-time embedded environment on target hardware.
• Examples of having delivered into a client’s Agile Development environment.
• Familiar with debugging software on target hardware in a lab environment
• Strong knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle including awareness of the latest continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques.
• Understanding and application of software design methodologies and best practice including Object Orientated, SOLID design principles and use of recognised design patterns.

Scope of Work and Activities
• Resolution of Bugs and issues on current software baseline
• The current MAPPS Controller software baseline has a number of pre identified bugs and issues that need to be investigated, resolved tested and released. The contractor will
• Work through a subset of bugs and issues, delivering updates into the customer development environment for review and integration into the wider product baseline.
• Attend 3 weekly Sprint planning meetings for assignment of Azure DevOps work items.
• Attend 3 weekly Sprint Review and Retrospective meetings remotely.
• Complete of work items assigned and agreed from 3 weekly Sprint planning meetings. Completion of a work item consists of:
• Updates to the DOORS test specification module.
• Updates to the relevant Word Design Chapters.
• C++11 Code updates.
• Updates to unit and integration tests.
• Execution of host and target CI pipeline test suites.
• Rework work items and review comments provided by other team members.
• Merge of changes onto the Git Develop branches.
