As Catalyst Senior Product Cost Leader you will be a key role in the Catalyst Product Line, reporting to the Product Operations Leader. Lead Catalyst Cost Out Hoshin Kanri providing monthly updates to GE Avio Senior Leadership
Coordinate with Engineering, GSC and Suppliers and leverage GE Aerospace and Industry benchmarks to develop a solid Cost Out plan, for the Catalyst Denali application, supporting the achievement of the Engine Cost Target
Assess the Cost Out projects pipeline in terms of efforts vs benefits and define prioritization and implementation strategy with the Product Line, in particular for changes requiring Engine Test
In line with Flight Deck principles,
promote Lean events to identify new cost reduction opportunities in internal shops and with suppliers
establish and drive action plans for execution on identified projects as well as generation of new ideas, backed by resources and budget coverage
set-up a structured operating cadence to monitor progress and react to drifts
set-up tools for tracking of ideas, projects and Cost data (actual and forecast)
Support Fleet and Life Cycle Cost (TCO) modeling and Country Share tracking (De Minimis)
Support financial planning, Business Case management and Cost Estimation for new campaigns with Cost data, forecasts and analysis
Develop an extended Catalyst Product Line Cost Out strategy encompassing different Engine applications, already under contract and potential new campaigns
Qualifications/RequirementsBachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, preferred graduation in Mechanical/Aerospace/Management Engineering
Significant experience in the Aviation Industry preferably in Product/Program Management, Engineering or Manufacturing functions.
Business acumen and strong analytical skills
Proven Leadership
Teamwork and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills, experience in reporting to Senior Leadership
Proactive, adaptable and able to work with an entrepreneurial approach in a complex environment
Fluent written and spoken English
Knowledge of office automation
EU Work Permit
