Description:This role is for the Chief Engineer Sr. Manager for Martime Electronic Warfare (MarEW) segment within the Spectrum Convergence Market Segment, which has annual sales in excess of $200M. The Chief Engineer is responsible for solving complex challenges, establishing a vision and strategy, and leading large teams to achieve results. The MarEW Chief Engineer is the primary interface between the MarEW Program Office and the broader Spectrum Convergence Engineering organization. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the leadership of the entire Engineering & Technology (E&T) team, overall technical integrity of all the sub-market segment products and programs while meeting cost and schedule objectives. This position partners with the program management office and leads engineering performance across cost, schedule, technical, and quality goals.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the overall development and implementation of the market segment technical strategy and product development approach
• Lead the technical, cost, and schedule execution of all MarEW programs and pursuits
• Drive a culture of technical innovation across the market segment organization
• Drive common solutions across the market segment technical solution set through strategic product roadmap development & execution, with a goal to extend and connect that strategy to C6ISR, RMS, and LM
• Assess risk and implement root cause/corrective action plans, defining mitigation strategies and leading the organization through change
• Apply technical curiosity to ensure critical thinking is applied to solve complex challenges
• Lead and assess talent and organizational needs, team constructs and define a vision and priorities for all members of the E&T function. Provide clear requirements to other functions and subcontractors on what requirements need to be met to achieve successful technical execution.
• The above must be achieved through partnering with the MarEW program leadership, the Spectrum Convergence Engineering and Technology (E&T) and all functions to bring the right technical solutions and culture.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in in Engineering discipline is required; Advanced degree is preferred

• Minimum of 10+ years of supervisory or leadership experience over a technical organization

• Experience with Hardware and Software based solutions

• Successful experience managing a complex portfolio of programs and contracts in various lifecycle phases

• Proven ability to create and implement a vision and create teams while demonstrating LM Core Values and FSL imperatives

• Ability to work at all levels technically and programmatically, from high level strategy to detailed design development through fielding

• Technical lead experience across all phases of the product life cycle from proposal creation through product development, test, deployment, and support

• Ability to concisely explain complex subjects and issues to executive leadership and obtain support for solutions

• Technical negotiation experience

• Systems Integration experience with LM and major subcontract content

• Experience building strong customer relationships both internally and externally
Desired Skills:
• Experience managing cost plus and fixed price contracts with both acquisition and end user customer experience

• Proven record of developing and selling complex HW and SW intensive Systems within cost and schedule

• Leadership experience with Capture, IRAD, Development, Production and Sustainment

• Experience leading technical teams of individuals from a variety of diverse backgrounds and disciplines

• Experience in multiple lines of business, and/or outside of E&T supporting program execution and/or new business strategy and capture

• Experience with 1LMX Transformation to achieve business results

• Proven ability to create organizational change and business case to support the vision

• Experience as the primary customer interface and primary interface with the sub-market segment

• Demonstrated full spectrum leader – ability to shape the future, energize the team, deliver results, build effective relationships and be accountable with high integrity and ethic

• Secret clearance with investigation in the past 5 years and qualifies for TOP SECRET.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $159,600 - $305,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $183,500 - $345,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
