Euravia Engineering & Supply Co Ltd, a part of Magellan Aerospace Kelbrook, Lancashire has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Monitoring and Safety Engineer.
- Full-time-permanent position
- Weekdays are Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week.
- Job location: Colne Road, Kelbrook, Lancashire BB18 6SN
This person will ensure compliance to all required regulatory and accreditation approvals held by Euravia including (EASA Part 145, CAA Part 145, FAA FAR 145 Supplement, GACA Part 145, CAAM Part 145 and KCAA Part 145).

Essential Responsibilities
- Knowledge of applicable officially recognised standards
- Knowledge of safety management, human factors, human performance and limitations, and just culture
- Knowledge of Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
- Knowledge of safety risks linked to aviation maintenance
- Understanding of professional integrity, behaviour and attitude towards safety
- Understanding of conditions for ensuring continuing airworthiness of aircraft and components
- Understanding of his or her own human performance and limitations
- Understanding of personnel authorisations and limitations
- Understanding critical maintenance tasks
- Ability to consider human performance and limitations
- Ability to identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions
- Ability to understand work orders, work cards and refer to and use applicable maintenance data
- Able to conduct audits in accordance with the audit plan and knowledgeable of auditing techniques: planning, conducting and reporting including raising, progressing and closing findings including Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive action methodology
- Manage and assist with the effective closure of NCRs as a result of the audit programme and other company reporting processes
- Travel to and audit detachment locations to ensure compliance with the regulations whilst customer engines are away from the approved main site (1 per year)
- Maintain and update the authorisation database and authorise all required members of staff
- Assist with maintaining and updating the approved Capability list for 145 engine/component activities
- Assist with hosting regulatory and customer audits
- Assist with the management of the technical library including internal and external maintenance data
- Assist with the management of the supplier and vendor database to ensure correct approvals are held
- Assist with the SMS Safety Reporting investigation processes and hazard identification processes
- Drive continuous improvement processes to improve the business
- Ensure compliance with H & S requirements and liaise with H&S manager as necessary
- Completion of any other reasonable tasks as designated by your Line Manager
Position Requirements
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working within a “Quality Assurance” or “Regulatory Compliance Monitoring” department.
- Understanding of EASA Part 145
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Auditing qualifications and experience (Internal minimum)
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with SMS (Safety Management Systems) (EASA Part 145 specific is desirable)
- Experience with EASA Part 145 Compliance monitoring auditing
- Experience managing databases
- Experience within an aviation maintenance environment
