Contributing to the successful completion of projects that support routine technical objectives, the Manufacturing Engineer I utilizes limited manufacturing technical principles, theories, and concepts to apply manufacturing technology on existing designs, concepts, processes, systems, and tools. Working under supervision, the individual follows established processes in execution of the scope of work as part of a team. The individual is obtaining unique Manufacturing Engineering knowledge in specialty and advanced manufacturing technical areas.

- Design tools and drawings
- Able to effectively identify potential safety and quality hazards/risks.
- Able to develop scope of work, resource estimates, and progress metrics.
- Able to perform manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to manufacturing technical objectives.
- Identifies manufacturing technology to include, but not limited to the following:
- Tool and Equipment Integration – Facility requirements, ergonomics, safety, environmental, automation, robotics, metrology, tool & die fabrication, tool design methodology, determinant tooling & fixtures, loft practices, flat patterning, numerical controlled programing of equipment, tool cutting/addition technology applied to the fabrication and assembly of vertical lift systems.
- Able to apply engineering design and analysis knowledge to evaluate discrepancies and anomalies.
Minimum required qualifications
- College degree in Engineering or relevant/related disciplines.
- 3 years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry experience
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 or V6
- Ability to apply knowledge of engineering design and design analysis to assess deviations and anomalies.
- Excellent drafting, dimensional and geometric tolerancing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Functional knowledge in French is required.
- Functional knowledge in English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.
Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
