Accountable to the Configuration Manager and projects’ first point of call for the provision of engineering support in delivering a safe and efficient Configuration Management service to project(s).
Working with the Change Co-ordinator and relevant SMEs, to understand all live changes affecting assigned project(s), their potential impacts and highlight potential project risks. Provide, as appropriate, advice and guidance on Configuration Management standards, applicable legislation and company processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Represent the configuration team on day-to-day activities, within specific projects’ or programmes, ensuring their configuration is aligned and captured accurately.
• Ensure configured documentation represents the current as-designed’ / ‘as-built status.
• Ensure Configuration Items (CIs) and/or baselines are maintained under configuration control.
• Work with the Change Coordinator to help manage the change control procedure(s) and demonstrate adherence through status accounting.
• Actively participate in Change Boards (CB) and occasionally facilitate as required. Stakeholder Management - build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders and team.
• Provide Configuration Management awareness training to all parties, as necessary.
• Support the introduction of the digital workspace and any other improvement initiatives, to make a positive impact on the way the business works, collaborates and shares information.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Proven work experience within Configuration Management within an engineering domain.
• Experience of a regulated environment.
• Document control experience.
• Problem solving and organisation skills including minute taking.
• Effective communication skills - verbal and written
• Software configuration experience- not essential
