The CI Process Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes/methods/strategies in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Priorities include process improvement, problem resolution and employee training. Lead Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement teams for manufacturing and support processes. Goal oriented, data driven, with a strong sense of urgency.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide process support for EB, PAM, and VAR processes
- Implement/monitor Statistical Process Control for critical melt processing parameters (i.e. EB gun power, melt rate, pressure, etc…)
- Implement/monitor Statistical Process Control for critical part and process parameters
- Ability to influence, gain commitment, and leverage best practices across all levels of the organization
- Initiate or support new melt process or engineering technologies
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to minimize deviant/nonconforming product and optimize throughput. Support or lead continuous improvement initiatives and teams
- Support or implement Management of Change (MOC) and Manufacturing Process Experiments (MPE) associated with melting
- Utilize data to drive improvements and implement control plans to sustain those improvements.
- Assist with customer complaints, audits, and corrective actions, involving investigation of quality or process problems
- Maintain process documents including but not limited to procedures, forms, etc…
- Participate in internal audit programs
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in an engineering related field or technical equivalent
- On-the-job training will be provided, but position requires a self-motivated individual
- Familiarity with MS Office is required
- 2 or more years’ industrial experience preferred
- Minitab or other statistical software experience is preferred
- Metals industry experience is a plus
- Strong background on industry specifications is a plus
- Auditing background is a plus
