In Manching we develop high fidelity Aircraft Simulators. Our simulations are basically distributed realtime systems. For the development and operation we rely on a powerful, Linux based, self managed IT infrastructure. Recently started programs like Eurodrone and FCAS ask for the next generation of Simulators. Fundamental enablers are automated Build-, Deployment- and Production systems. We are therefore looking for an additional DevOps Engineer helping us to take the IT infrastructure to the next level!

• Setup and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines for new and existing projects

• Package and containerize complex real-time distributed applications

• Assist the integration team in automating the development and deployment processes

• Create and perform unit tests of simulation components (C&43;&43; / Python)

• Educate your fellow developers about CI/CD by creating tutorials, documentation and giving regular talks

• Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or a comparable engineering subject

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience

• CI/CD Components (Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube,...) and setting up pipelines

• Various Linux distros

• Packaging applications and libraries for multiple platforms (apt, yum, conan, docker)

• Containers and Hypervisors (Proxmox, Ovirt/RHEV, Swarm, Kubernetes)

• Configuration & Automation management tools like Ansible

• Software Version Control Systems (Git & Subversion)

• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python

• Experience in C&43;&43; would be beneficial
