We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Digital Technology Application Database Developer!

The primary purpose of this role is to author technical and functional specifications, perform data modeling, develop, test, document, create reports, and assist in UI specification.  Projects include creating and maintaining backend databases for applications and reporting for use across international factories, primarily based factory operations activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of solutions primarily using MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI.
  • Work with internal business stakeholders for requirement gathering.
  • Identify and articulate design methodology and best practices.
  • Exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Have a value-driven perspective for understanding work context and impact.
  • Ability to understand data purpose, source, and relationship to other data.
  • Extract, aggregate and organize data using a repository and methodology that creates reporting with ease of access and efficiency.
  • Create charts, graphs, dashboards, and other data visualizations that make data intuitive for colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • Provide support during testing and participate in go-live meetings.
  • Collaborate with other report and dashboard creators on data standards and compliance.
  • Act as one of the subject matter experts on future state data trends and tools
  • May require flexible hours to work with international teams.
  • Databricks experience would be a bonus.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 8+ years of database application development and report development experience in a business context; OR Advanced degree in a technical field and 5+ years of database application development and report development experience in a business context
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building and supporting application databases.
  • Experience delivering reporting solutions to support business operations.
  • Experience supporting and enhancing data visualizations across different sources.
  • Worked in a manufacturing operations company role dealing with and supporting operations data.
  • Customer-facing experience with communication of results or troubleshooting.
  • Enjoys and works effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and use computer software tools effectively.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
