Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will perform or assist the roles as per listed in the regulation governing workplace safety and health officer & fire safety manager duties and support site in protecting employees’ safety and environment.
  • These include but not limited to :-.
  • Develop & implement EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and GE requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessment, training and inspection.
  • Implement required corrective /preventive measures based on audit finding, root cause analysis and trending analysis.
  • Develop & implement tracking programs and record keeping systems and administer EHS compliance tracking program.
  • Work with process owners to evaluate new product introduction, equipment and chemicals to ensure risks are properly assess and control measures are in place prior to use on site.
  • Work closely with EHS Framework Element Owners for the assigned elements to ensure compliant.
  • Work closely with Maintenance team and Project Coordinators to ensure contractors comply with GE and local requirements.
  • Support site security system implementation and enforcement.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Possess Diploma in Engineering / Science from local Polytechnic with minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Possess WSH Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
  • Candidate who is currently pursuing WSQ Specialist Diploma / Certificates will be considered.
  • Candidate who had completed WSQ Supervised Safe Lifting Operations training and/or has experience in developing lifting plans is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work as a team.
