In order to manage current and future projects, Airbus Helicopters is looking for you to join the team in Donauwörth as soon as possible as our new

Vibration & Dynamics Engineer (d/f/m).

Immersed in a transnational team, you will have many interfaces within engineering and will work very closely to the end product and its customers. This is your chance to see and influence the helicopter as a complete system!

Your main mission will be to support your future main customers (such as project/program, production, flight test, support) on all vibration-related issues.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours (30) and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location:

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Performing dynamic layout of rotor, airframe & vibration control systems
  • Predicting vibration transmissibility, cabin vibrations, vibration control system performance, rotor and helicopter stability
  • Defining & analyzing component, ground and flight tests & validate prediction models
  • Contributing the certification & qualification of the helicopter and its parts
  • Improving our methods and tools
  • Performing research and development activities in order to make our helicopters smoother, more comfortable and to improve our ability to predict complex dynamic phenomenon

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in aeronautical engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge in the field of dynamics & vibrations
  • Mandatory experience with MATLAB, Python, MS Office
  • Experience with finite element modelling tools e.g. NASTRAN and Hyperworks is a plus
  • You have excellent communication skills and a brilliant team spirit
  • You are open minded, you have a welcome problem attitude and you bring curiosity
  • You enjoy a transverse and international environment
  • Language Skills: English - negotiations level, German and French is a plus

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
