Job Description:

1.tJob Summary
The Electrical Engineer is a key member of a cross-disciplinary team driving the design, development and execution of the actuation systems program for the next generation of military and commercial aircraft. The Electrical Engineer works on the development of new products, and the improvement and sustainment of products. Engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and requirements capture through manufacture and field support.

2. Essential Job Functions

•tCandidate is expected to be able to lead the design of the required circuitry (Digital, Analog, and Power) and integrate the circuit design with software to support system architecture. Designs will be to Aerospace standards including but not limited to DO-160 and DO-254

•tIntegrate Hardware and software for embedded microprocessor devices and firmware based FPGA devices.
•tDesign and development of embedded systems circuitry and printed circuit assemblies according to IPC standards.
•tGenerate design documentation including requirements specifications, design details, test procedures and reports.
•tPrepare and review the drawings and layouts for production parts, components, and test equipment.
•tCreate, document and test software and hardware to validate design details
•tLead multi-discipline design reviews both internally with peers and externally with customers.
•tEvaluate design changes for impact to product design, cost, and schedule.
•tEnsure the timely and efficient completion of projects to achieve the companys strategic and financial goals.
•tProduct engineering estimates for individual tasks up to complete electronic designs.
•tLead and perform root cause investigation on new development and fielded products.
•tPerform product troubleshooting and lab testing.
•tSupport trade studies and proposals
•tDemonstrate an understanding of internal processes, methods, and tools.
•tOther duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

2.\tRequired Competencies
Education/Experience
•\tBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited course of study or related field required.
•\tExperience as an Electrical Engineer.
•\tTypical experience:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•\tMust be a self-directed individual requiring minimal supervision.
•\tProficiency in the use of C software programming language.
•\tFundamental circuit design skills and knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
•\tExperience in analysis and schematic layout software packages
•\tFamiliarity with electrical analysis software
•\tComputer work and drawing interpretation, as well as a familiarity with schematics or Engineering drawings.
•\tAbility to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
•\tEvaluate concepts by creating analytical models and provide direction on which concept will meet component and or system level performance.
•\tProvide analysis support throughout the development of a product/concept
•\tAnalyze data and performance of designs, recommend actions to create optimized design
•\tInteract cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams. Work closely with engineers to identify opportunities for design improvements.
•\tMake business recommendations (e.g. cost-benefit, forecasting) with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders.
•\tFundamental typing skills as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and MATLAB.
•\tExceptional written and oral communication skills
•\tDemonstrated ability to stand out, overcome barriers and deliver results.
•\tDemonstrable critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability and confidence to make conclusions and recommendations from data
•\tWork with a team of engineers to design, develop, test and document electrical components.
•\tAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
