Description:Electrical Lighting Engineer Sr. - Level 3

We are Lockheed Martin

This position is for an experienced design engineer within the Electrical Systems team, supporting both Advanced Development Programs (ADP) and Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) in the Vehicle Systems organization.

This engineer will primarily assist in the design, development, production, testing, troubleshooting and field support of a variety of Lighting Systems and components. Duties may included drawing changes, data review, production and flight line troubleshooting, and investigation of customer questions and problems.

Additional responsibilities may include:
* Supporting quote kickoffs
* Providing Electrical Systems inputs for new business proposals
* Performing supplier coordination and technical oversight.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Electrical Engineering), equivalent experience/combined education considered

Experience, via applied engineering principles, of aircraft interior and exterior lighting systems

Experience providing technical oversight of Lighting Systems component suppliers
Desired Skills:
• Aircraft Lighting System Design/Development Experience HIGHLY DESIRED, including:
• Designing lighting system architectures based on top-level requirements
• Developing requirements for the system and all components
• Generating specs and SOWs for development/procurement of system and components
• Managing subcontractors developing/supplying systems/components
• Generating program plans (tasking, budget, schedule) to develop lighting systems
• Providing inputs to program proposals
• Generating and executing test/qual/verification activities for lighting systems
• Experience working on a small team covering all aspects of system design from concept through testing
• Experienced in using lighting test equipment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
